Architectural Drafter
Purpose: Position: Architectural CAD Drafter Location: Sacramento, CA Salary: $45K-$60K/yr DOE+ bonuses and benefits
Growing Architectural Design & Planning firm continues to seek self motivated and talented Architectural Designers and CAD Drafters for our Sacramento based office. Our staff consists of a great group of talented and experienced Licensed Architects, Designers, Planners, and Drafters; all with a firm belief in the team oriented environment we have done everything to sustain. Our firm handles a diverse range of projects of all scales. Our project studios currently include Commercial/ Civic, Institutional, Healthcare, and Education projects.
Ideal candidates for our firm will have minimum of 2-3 years of professional architectural work experience and preferable a bachelors degree in either Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or Environmental Design. Must have a thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices involved in the design, remodeling, renovation of facilities. Experience writing technical specifications, developing contract documents, assisting with the facilitation of departmental initiatives, and conducting meetings. Must be proficient with recent AutoCAD versions and/or Architectural Desktop and have a solid understanding of Architectural Design Development and Construction Document Production.
Job responsibilities for these Architectural Designers and Drafters will include but are not limited to providing a full range of architectural design support services, technical project development, and construction administration assistance related to remodeling, renovation, new construction, and equipment replacement projects. Will also handle coordination of engineering activities during the design process. Responsible for architectural design, architectural design quality assurance and control, and preparation of architectural construction documents including plans and technical specifications for projects according to institutional standards. Impacts major institutional architectural projects.
