Lab Technician

Purpose: A Pharmaceutical Company in Chicago is looking for Lab Technicians to join their manufacturing and lab groups. This is a diverse environment within a company that has experienced strong, steady growth over the last few years. This person will be performing standard lab tests to determine various characteristics of all types of materials and products. They will be working with HPLC, microscopes, centrifuges, agitators, viscometers, chemical balance scales, spectrophotometer, gas chromatograph, colorimeters, and other lab equipment. Along with the technical responsibilities, the other tasks required will be the necessary documentation and data collection in order to fulfill compliance to GMP, GLP, and SOP requirements. Individuals will be interacting with cross-functional groups and thus, will require strong communicative abilities and a strong work ethic.

A four-year degree in a Natural Science is required, preferably Chemistry, as well as 1-2 years experience with HPLC. GMP/GLC knowledge and experience is also necessary, and experience in the foods or pharmaceutical industries is a big plus.

Pay range is $12-15 an hour, with strong possibility to go salaried employment after 6 months.
