Postion Summary: This position primarily focuses on the maintenance and repair of properties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining security and lighting throughout the buildings
- Maintaining premises of debris
- Maintaining cleanliness of building (window washing, maintenance
and repair, vacumning of hallways)
- Daily inspection of buildings interior/exterior
- Weekly fire alarm testing
- Parking enforcement
- Removing trash from interior/exterior of buildings
- Meets daily and more often as needed to review activities
- Monitors and updates weekly logs
- Attends all weekly departmental meetings
- Preparation and repair of apartments
- Courthouse duties
- Compilation and submission of notices
- Inspection of apartments (must give 24 hour notice)
- Landscape, Parking lot and sidewalk maintenancePhysical Demands: The physical demand described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to sucessfully perform the essential functions of the job. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds.The employee must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside and/or outside environmental conditions such as noise, infectious dieases, blood or blood borne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases and dust.Work Environment: Normal maintenance and office working conditions.Equipment: Telelphone, Lawn Mower, Saw, Drill Hammer, etc.Education/Experience: 5 - 7 years relevant work experience as a carpenter. M - F 8:00 - 4:00 (approx.)
Be prepared to work weekends as necessaryDepartment Meetings

REQUIREMENTS
2 years vocational training
5 -7 years relevant carpentry work experience
good standing licensed contractor/City of Milwaukee
Great understanding of Uniform Building Codes (State & City)
